Sagar Chess Academy

Anjali Sagar started her chess academy in 1988 at Aurangabad, formally known as Palande Chess Academy. Swaumya Swaminathan, Mitali patil, Vishal Thakur, Yogesh Mapari, and Bhushan Kulse were some of the renowned students who learn their basics of Chess in Sagar Chess Academy. They later represented India and won many individual awards in International chess tournament.  Students from age of 4 to 15 are learning chess in Sagar chess Academy in Aurangabad and Ahmedabad. Regular classed, Residential Camps and Net Coaching are the main focus of this academy

Anjali Rajnedra Sagar

Mrs. Anjali Sagar is a National Chess player. Born on 8th June 1970 in Aurangabad. In 1987, She won U-19 State Championship. Followed by State Championship Maharashtra in 1993. She won national Chess tournament in 1994. She started her chase academy Palande Chess Academy, later Sagar Chess Academy) in Aurangabad in 1988 for the age group of 4 to 13. Swaumya Swaminathan, Mitali Patil, Vishal Thakur, Yogesh Mapari, and Bhushan Kulse are some of the renowned students of Mrs. Anjali Sagar.
In 1999 she married to Rajendra Sagar, she has two daughters Tejaswini and Siya. Both are chess players and carry forwarding legacy of her mother. Now she is concentrating on WIM of Tejaswini and Siya. Sagar Chess Academy has presence in Aurangabad and Ahmadabad.

She Started her chess career at Singapore Chess Tournament at the age of 2 years 11 months. She  won Under-7 State championship in 2014 and she was the Runners Up in 2016 Under-9 State Championship She was a part of team who won Bronze medal for India in 2012 at Asian Chess Championship. She also won Women Under 10 Chess tournaments in  Austria and France in 2017. Her FIDE rating is 1608. 2nd in India , 5th in Asia, and 11th in World.
